This Privacy Policy describes how WhatGenerationAmI.net ("the Site", "we", "us") handles information when you visit and use our generation calculator. It applies to all visitors, regardless of location.
The short version: we do not collect, store, sell, or share any personal data about you. The generation calculator runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter is ever sent to our servers.

The generation calculator processes your birth year locally inside your browser using JavaScript. The number never leaves your device.
03 How the Tool Works
When you type a birth year and click "Find My Generation", the calculation happens entirely within your browser using client-side JavaScript. No data is sent to any server — ours or anyone else's.
The entire generation dataset (birth ranges, descriptions, traits, and historical events) is embedded directly in the page's source code. There are no API calls, no database lookups, and no backend processing of any kind.
This means the tool works even if you are offline, and there is no technical mechanism by which your input could be intercepted or recorded.
04 Cookies & Tracking
This site does not use cookies of any kind — not for analytics, advertising, session management, or personalisation.
We do not use:
- Google Analytics or any other analytics platform
- Facebook Pixel, Google Ads tags, or any advertising trackers
- Session cookies or persistent cookies
- Local storage or IndexedDB for tracking purposes
- Any third-party tracking scripts
No cookie consent banner is needed — because there are no cookies to consent to.
05 Third-Party Services
This site loads fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser downloads these fonts, Google may log the request as a standard server-side web request (your IP address and browser type). This is standard behaviour for any website using hosted fonts.
Other than Google Fonts, no third-party scripts, embeds, widgets, or services are loaded on this site. We have no relationships with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics companies.
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share any data with any third party — because we have no data to share.
06 Children's Privacy
WhatGenerationAmI.net is a general-interest educational tool suitable for all ages. Because we collect no personal information from anyone, we inherently do not collect information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your country).
